Lyrical Mastermind, Jarvis Pittman blazed onto the scene in 2001. His play on words merged with his ability to flow became infections, birthing the viral sound from the artist we now know as “Flu”. Growing up in the east side of San Antonio, Texas, Flu experienced life and it’s challenges early on. With musical influences such as Jay-Z, UGK and the Ghetto Boys, writing became the outlet that helped him tell his story. Flu’s talent was recognized in high school by his peers, and he was encouraged to audition for the school talent show. What started as an idea, quickly and unexpectedly turned into an epidemic, as everyone wanted to catch the “Flu”. Realizing his gift, Flu began seeking out avenues to record his lyrics and it did not take long for others to recognize his gift. Through self-promotion and undeniable talent, Flu’s diverse style has privileged him to open for national artist such as: Webbie, Devin The Dude, Tra, Zero, B-Real (from Cypress Hill), and many others. 13 years as an independent artist, Flu has what it takes to break out as one of the first major hip hop artist from San Antonio, Texas. With over 20,000 albums sold starting with his first album: “Flu Sea-son” to his hit Single “Know Dat” being released on iTunes in 2014, Flu’s music and lyrics are sickening and soon the world will be affected by the artist we call “Flu”.
